What we handle

Every application is different. Below is what we work on most often. If you do not see your situation, ask. Most cases have more than one pathway, and the right one is not always the obvious one.

Permanent Residence

Three main routes, each suiting a different profile.

Express Entry

Canada's main federal system for skilled workers. You create an online profile, receive a Comprehensive Ranking System score, and the highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply. We assess whether you are competitive before you invest time in a profile, and identify where your score can realistically be improved.

Provincial Nominee Program

Most provinces run their own nomination streams, each with different criteria around skills, education, work experience, business investment or family ties. A provincial nomination adds significant weight to an Express Entry profile. We identify which provinces you actually qualify for.

Atlantic Immigration Program

A pathway through New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. It requires a job offer from a designated employer.

Study Permits

A study permit generally covers the length of your program plus 90 days. We handle new applications, extensions, and the transition to a post-graduation work permit. Refusals at this stage are common, and usually come down to how the application was documented rather than whether the applicant was qualified.

Work Permits and LMIA

We work with both applicants and employers, and the two sides usually meet in the same file.

Work permits

Employer-specific and open work permits, including LMIA-supported applications, spousal open work permits, and post-graduation work permits.

LMIA

Labour Market Impact Assessment applications for employers who need to hire foreign workers. We prepare the employer-side application and the supporting recruitment documentation, which is what an LMIA-supported work permit depends on.

Visitor and Super Visa

Temporary resident visas, extensions of status, and super visas for parents and grandparents. Super visa applications turn heavily on demonstrating financial support and genuine intent to return. A previous refusal does not disqualify you, but it does change how the next application needs to be built.

Family Sponsorship

Sponsoring a spouse, common-law partner, dependent child, or parents and grandparents. To sponsor, you generally need to be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a person registered under the Indian Act, and at least 18 years old.

Citizenship

The last step. Once you hold permanent residence and have been physically present in Canada long enough, you can apply to become a Canadian citizen.

Grant of citizenship

The main requirement is physical presence: generally 1,095 days in Canada within the five years before you apply. You also need to have filed taxes for the required years, and applicants between 18 and 54 must meet a language requirement and pass the citizenship test.

Counting your days correctly matters more than people expect. Time spent outside Canada, and time held as a temporary resident before you became a PR, both affect the calculation. We work that out with you before you file rather than after a request for more information arrives.

Proof of citizenship

If you are already a Canadian citizen but have no document to show for it, including citizenship inherited through a parent, we can apply for a citizenship certificate on your behalf.
